Driving north-west we will meet Long Neck Karen near Thaton in their village.What seemes to be more than strange to us,Women with a long neck, is to this tribes a more than thousand year old tradition. They start to stretch their necks with necklace of silver, when they are young girls. We go on to Mae Sai, at the borderline to Burma and explore the market selling handcraft,antiques,silver and gems. After we will follow one of the biggest river on earth.The Mekong,the natural borderline to Laos.We arrive at the scenic viewpoint Golden Triangle.Top on a hill, you have a great view to Burma and Laos. We go on and reach Chiang Saen and have a look to some historical ruins,from the age when Chiang Saen was the capitol of North-Thailand. On the way back to Chiang Mai we got a great view to the beautyfull mountains of the North.
