UK angler and Hong Kong resident Keith Purton, and his 13 year old son Andrew, returned to Dreamlake at the end of October.The fishing conditions were quite difficult due to the change from the rainy season to the cool winter period. Nevertheless, both are experienced with fishing Dreamlake and managed to catch a good number of big sized specimens. Highlight of the trip was a huge alligator gar, estimated 30kg+, probably the biggest gar out of Thai fishing lakes yet. They stayed a couple of days at Mae Ngat Dam as well and caught several snakeheads up to 2.5kg. |

Great holidays for dutch angler Jozef Kerkhoff. During his stay at Dreamlake fishing resort, Jozef managed to catch at least 11 different species. His highlights were pacu up to 18kg, redtail catfish between 18-26 kg, alligator gar 15-22kg, giant snakehead 3-4.5kg and a beautiful spotted sorubim estimated to 16kg. |

The fishing action at Dream Lake was excellent throughout the whole of September for both predators and carp species. Redtail catfish, alligator gar and other predators were caught regularly on dead baits and chicken guts. Carp were mainly caught on a bread-lum-jamroll feedermix with pop-up foam on the hook. Fishing for mekong catfish at Paradise Lake was good with specimens averaging between 40-60lb. Mae Ngat Dam was still the place to be for snakehead lure fishing, especially the early morning sessions, which produced specimen sized snakeheads (Pla Shado) up to 6kg. |

Compared to last year, fishing at Dream Lake was a bit slow in early August due to the late arrival of the monsoon. However, fishing got better and better in the second half of the month. Best action was from late afternoon until midnight with many nice carp and redtail catfish in prime condition being caught. Paradise lake produced excellent results with catfish weighing between 56lb and 64lb being caught every week together with countless fish between 30lb and 45lb. Mae Ngat Dam was the venue of the month for lure fishing, with several huge snakeheads up to 6.7kg getting caught on deep-diving lures. |

Amazing snakehead sessions for Andreas Kabas, Austria. After his great capture of a huge freshwater stingray at Mae Klong River, at the end of May, Andreas returned to Thailand in august for a short visit, in quest of the the ferocious Giant Snakehead.Fishing at Mae Ngat Dam, he caught on the first day a bundle of small sized snakeheads around 1kg weight, on the second day he hooked into a real whacker of 6.7kg, which put up an awesome fight. |

Excellent fishing at Dreamlake for asian carp species in july, as usual for the raining season. Best action in the morning between 6.00 to 10.00a.m., and from the afternoon around 4.00p.m. until midnight. |

With the first rain in may, carp fishing became better at Dreamlake. The Fishing for predators was average but with good sized alligator gars, feather back and red tail catfish caught. The best baits over the month were dead baits presented using a ledgering setup in the deep parts of the lake. June was excellent for lure fishing at Mae Ngat and Mae Kuang Dam, specially in periods with heavy rain when the snakehead enjoy the flow of fresh food into the reservoirs and are actively hunting. |
