Carp specialist Keith Purton and his mate Jeff, from Hong kong, visited Dreamlake end of June. They fished several spots and caught after heavily pre-baiting several nice Siamese carp up to 25kg, a good number of rohu, and Keith finally managed to hook one of our very rare Julian Golden Price carp. Jeff tried his hand also on ledgering dead baits for our predators. He succeed in his quest with good sized pacu and alligator gar. |

Austrian angler Thomas Frieberger and his mate Günther visited Chiang Mai and Dreamlake during the Songkran Festival. That was a perfect combination for having fun and serious fishing. The keen anglers fished the early morning hours and late afternoon into the night and succeded with fish being caught in specimen size. During the heat of the day they enyoid the waterfestival downtown and being completely soaked with water for 3 days. Great fun stuff. |

Many ups and downs in April and May, due to the very hot and dry weather conditions. Good sized fish being caught in the early morning and at nighttime, during the heat of daytime fish were rarely landed. We were desperately waiting for a few days with rain, but different from former years, the monsoon arrived very late this year. Lure fishing at the dams was poor, according to the low water level, only jungle perch being caught recently. |

Returning austrian carpangler Andreas Kabas visited dreamlake end of may. The well expirienced angler managed to catch peacock bass and tiger shovelnose catfish in a decent size by using live,-and deadbaits. He enyoied light tackle fishing as well and got hooked up with dozens of asian carp species like Rohu, Mud Carp and Silver Carp. |

Using his own homemade jerkbaits, he bagged a haul of 14 individuals up to a specimensize of 7.5kg.Action non-stop throughout the day, an amazing sport with this remarkable highly acrobatic fighting species. |

Amazing Thailand fishing days for German angler Florian Hennhöfer during his fishing holiday at dreamlake resort in Chiang Mai. Florian managed to hook into some real beauties at the best fishing lakes in North Thailand. On his first day Whilst ledgering on the bottom using sausage as hook bait, he caught Red tail catfish, tiger shovelnose catfish and alligator gar. that same afternoon he fished with a float and a live bait near the surface, targeting one of our big peacock bass. Unfortunately, the bass ignored his bait totally, nevertheless one of our very rare chao prayha catfish picked up his bait and put up an awesome fight on his light tackle setup. After a 40min battle with the big cat she was landed and estimated to a perfect specimen size of 75lb. |

There was very good fishing action to be had in February at Dreamlake Thailand, even though it was not as cold as is usual for this time of year. We had many nice carp, redtail catfish, and peacock bass being caught. Best results came in the late afternoon's and at night time by simply ledgering with sausage for the predators and a lum-mix (Rice flour mix) for Thai carp and catfish species. |

German angler Peter Bernard, pro-guide for the wels catfish at the river po in italy (www.waller-guiding.com) visited dreamlake early january for a couple of days. According to the cold weather conditions in chiang may, the fishing was a bit slow. Nevertherless the well expierienced angler managed to hook into a couple of our big individuals. He caught a monster gar, estimated to 30+kg and 168cm (66.14") in length, one of our biggest Arapaima with 192cm (75.59") in length, one of the very rare Chayopraha Catfish at dreamlake, estimated to 35kg and two beautyfull Peackock Bass 3+4.5kg. |
