Name: Rohu Indian Carp.
(Labeo Rohita).
Status: Introduced to Thailand. A Vegetarian, popular game fish. Max: 20 kg. We catch him regularly at Dreamlake Fishing Resort up to 10 kg. Average size 3-6 kg. Regular carp fishing tackle are good for this species used with the Thai rice flour bait mix. Rohu have been introduced as a food fish to Thailand aswel as as species regularly stocked in many Thailand fishing lakes and fishing resorts.
