Dreamlake fishing Chiang mai news September2008Dreamlake fishing for predators was quite good during the first 3 weeks in June. Arapaima to 70 pounds, Redtail and Tiger Catfish to 30 pounds and Paccu up to 24 pounds got caught recently. Towards the end of June, the fishing slowed down, as many species started spawning.Best time to catch a fish was the late afternoon until midnight. Carpfishing became better and the first bigger carps got caught.Light-Tackle Fishing was very good for Rohu, Mud Carp etc.

At Mae Kuang Dam lure fishing was good until mid-June, then the water lever dropped about 3 metres and fishing got more difficult again. Mae Ngat Dam was average, with mainly smaller Snakeheads and Jungle Perch being caught.Sirikit Dam and Bhumipol Dam had very low water levels.

Paradise Lake was good as it is every day...... Richard (England) with a nice 63 pound Mekong Cat.
