Dreamlake fishing resort news Dec 2008 PDF Print E-mail

Latest fishing report from Chiang mai December 2008According to the cool weather conditions, the fishing for predators has been slow this month with a few Redtail Catfish, Pacu and Peacock Bass being caught. The carp fihsing at Dreamlake and especially the Giant siamese carp was still good in the morning and late afternoon with specimens up to 25kg being landed by our customers. The topwater lure fishing at the Queen Sirikit Dam was average with mainly small sized Snakeheads boated. At Mae Kuang dam it was better with Giant snakeheads up to 4kg in weight. The big highlight of the month was an 8.2kg Giant snakehead being caught on a Rapala Magnum at the Ping River National park.

A really impressive Giant snakehead caught on a Rapala Magnum in December. A specimen of this size is really quite rare which makes it an exceptional catch at the time of year.
